Race report by Jitse Miedema
Friday (controlled practice)
The day started with some rain and most of the controlled heats where cancelled. Once the track was dry, the race directors setup 2 rounds of heats. After both rounds it was the XRAY X1’16 of Jitse Miedema that was quickest, followed by his X1’15 XRAY driven by his brother Tjitte Miedema.

Saturday (timed practice and qualifications)
With the beautiful spring sun coming down on the great track of MACH Heemstede, spirits were high again, and all the F1’s looked great. The Saturday was the day where the controlled tire was mandatory. And first time out everyone seemed to struggle with front grip. After 4 rounds the tires where settled and so were the drivers. In the front Milan Holthuis who took 2nd and the Stephan Beelen who took 3rd. But the top qualifier was Jitse Miedema who dominated all 3 qualifiers and who took the TQ.

Also there was The Ladies Cup. A 15minute race with a pit-stop. Great fun to watch and a great result for Patricia Wessels winning the race with her XRAY X1’15.

Sunday (last Qualifier and Finals)
Due to heavy rain in the previous night, the last qualifier would be a wet one. But no new tires because the track was not declared wet due to the speed it was drying at. This was a hard and maybe strange call, because the whole track was wet, but in the end it was the right call to save everyone a set of tires for just one heat.

All the finals where completely dry and great to watch. Rick Thompson did an amazing job as an announcer/referee. Great battles and once again a great atmosphere. 1st final was an easy win for Jitse who drove a flawless heat leaving Milan to 2nd and Sidney Blokker to grab 3rd. 2nd final it was carnage in turn1 and Jitse with a mistake in the first lap and dropping back to 2nd. Behind him there where the numbers 8, 9, 10 that had a great start and were on his rear wing. Milan was now in front with a 2 second lead. Once Jitse was up to speed the battle for 1st and 2nd was on. With the X1 of Jitse being the winner. Milan ended 2nd and the number 10 XRAY X1 of Tjitte Miedema got 3rd. 3rd final it was Jitse with another flawless run and getting the clean-sweep. The battle for 2nd got exciting between Milan and Niels de Zwijger, being toe-to-toe for 5minutes. But it was Milan holding on to 2nd and Niels grabbing 3rd.
